Divx Player missing avcodec-58.dll

Upgraded to 10.8.7 (purchased Divx Pro) now when i play a video file it states missing avcodec-.58.dll was not a problem using the older version before update.

clicking at least 3 times on Ok to get it to disappear, the file will play, i have no trouble using VLC or Power DVD 18 ultra when viewing the files on pc using win 7 64 bit... is it a software issue in download.... i have re-installed microsoft direct x using their installer, and Divx Player still states the error of missing avcodec-58.dll as missing... please help thanks...

  I have Divx Pro full registered add ons, however on update to 10.8.7 my videos with AC3 will not play the software says i need to download them and install, but i have purchased them, the the latest update is not working for me... avcode-58.dll is missing from the update for me, i have now re-installed the update numerous times, what is happening, the old software played fine... need help to play the files. thanks

  Now working and had to install the missing dll file into the Divx folder in and windows system32 and sysWOW64 and the Divx player now starts without a problem... really weird, as Power DVD Ultra 18 and VLC have no problem whatso ever loading same file...

  Hi Mike,
  I am having the same issue after updating my pro. "avcodec-58.dll is missing" where did you find the dll file to download it? Every website I check doesn't have it or states avcodec-58.dll doesn't exists.

  Divx kindly sent a link which worked for me, the auto update download would not work some how for me... hope they can help you out

  I believe I found it here of course scan for viruses etc first as this was over 5-6 months ago
