Do I need to convert my existing DivX videos in order to play them on my DivX Certified® or DivX-compatible mobile phone?
In some cases, the DivX videos you watch on your computer will play on your phone without having to convert them. However, to ensure that they will play on any DivX Certified or DivX-compatible phone, we recommend you first convert them to DivX Mobile profile using DivX Converter (see below for more info). If your phone is certified to play DivX Mobile Theater video, you can play most home theater quality movies and do not need to convert your files to the mobile profile.
What is DivX Converter?
DivX Converter is a simple application that lets you convert video files to the DivX format. If you own a DivX Certified phone, it may already be bundled with the phone. Learn about the full version of DivX Converter or download the free DivX Mobile bundle for Windows, which includes a special version of the DivX Converter for Mobile.
How do I convert video to watch on my phone?
Using DivX Converter, you can simply drag and drop your videos to convert them. Just choose to convert into the "Mobile" profile and, for optimal playback, adjust the settings according to the recommendations listed below. If your phone is certified for Mobile Theater, you can play most Home Theater quality videos without any need for conversion.
What are the optimal settings to use when converting DivX videos to view on mobile phones?
