How do I deregister a DivX Certified device from my VOD account?

If you have a next generation DivX Certified device with an 8-digit deregistration code, follow the three deregistration steps below. If you have an older DivX Certified device without an 8-digit deregistration code, you may delete your device from your account. See the deletion steps below the deregistration steps.

Step 1
Open up DivX Player and go to VOD>Manage my computers and devices and log in using your DivX Account email and password.



Step 2
You will now see a complete list of all the devices you have registered under your account. Highlight the computer or device you want to deregister and click on the ‘Deregister’ tab at the bottom.



Step 3
You will once again be asked to enter your DivX Account password along with the deregistration code (usually an 8-digit code) which is accessible by going to the set up menu of your DivX Certified device. Each device set-up menu will be a little different and you may find additional instructions in your user manual on locating your 8-digit deregistration code.



Your device has been successfully deregistered. You will no longer be able to use this device to playback any purchased DivX VOD content.

How do I delete a device from my DivX VOD account?

If you don’t want to use your device anymore and it does not have an 8-digit deregistraion code, you can still delete the device from your DivX VOD account. Remember: You are permitted to perform one device deletion per year and three for the lifetime of your DivX Account.

Step 1
Open up DivX Player and go to VOD>Manage my computers and devices and log in using your DivX Account email and password.




Step 2
You will now see a complete list of all the devices you have registered under your account. Highlight the computer or device you want to deregister and click on the ‘Delete’ tab at the bottom.



Step 3
You will once again be asked to enter your DivX Account password in order to complete the deletion of your device. Type in your password and select the deletion tab again.



Your device has been successfully deleted. You will no longer be able to use this device to playback any purchased DivX VOD content.
